Enhanced Biomethanation: The Impact of Incorporating Fish Waste on the Co-Digestion of Pig Slurry and Orange Pomace

Anaerobic digestion technology can play a significant role in the transition to low-carbon and circular economy by producing bioenergy (biomethane) organic fertilizer (digestate). This study proposes valorization approach for three waste streams widely produced Mediterranean area: fish (FW), pig slurry (PS), orange pomace (OP). The FW lipid content enhance biomethane yield as long inhibition long-chain fatty acids is prevented.
